Website Design for Pomodoro Program

Ok, I have the logo (http://www.graphicster.com/Projects.aspx/94). Now I need a web site.

I am thinking one page with a short description, the logo and a download button.

The description could be this text:

----
CherryTomato helps you stay productive using the Pomodoro Technique.
- Work in 25-minute intervals of full concentration. CherryTomato helps you by setting your Messenger and Skype status to "busy", letting your friends know not to disturb you until you have a break.
- Keep track of your productivity by rating each 25-minute interval. CherryTomato shows you a statistics of your application and website usage to remind you what you have been doing
----

This is just a suggestion - alternative ways of communicating the above info are welcomed.

The program is free which should probably be emphasized somehow. Oh, and as of yet, it's for Windows.

There should be a screenshots button or link which will pop up a lightbox, and it should be prepared for future pages such as FAQ, plugins and perhaps a forum or similar.

I have uploaded the logo that davebowman created as a hi-res png file.
Let me know if there is anything else you need.

I can pay via PayPal or MoneyBookers. If you have other requests, let me know.

Prize: $250.00 - The prize has been prepaid to Graphicster.

do you need just design in photoshop default format (.psd) or you want final page in html/css.

mzaja,
photoshop is fine. Preferable layered so it is easier for me to cut out though.

Cheers!

Ok, .psd...

mzaja,
this design is nice but it feels a little bit "heavy" to me. I am looking for something a little bit more like a magazine. I am not very good at describing this - does it make any sense? One thing I can say for sure is that I don't like the yellow/greenish color that you used for the tabs..

divlesika,
very nice! The download button could use a border or something I think.

mazja,
this is better.

For both of your designs, I think that they could use another color - just a little bit. While I didn't like the yellow/green that mzaja first suggested, I think that a green (tomato-leaf dark maybe) could work well. Do you guys agree?

divlesika,
Yes, this is better I think. :-)

mzaja,
that *is* like a magazine! Cool!

joedshow,
there are some interesting ideas here. However, there is too much noise. Facebook and Twitter links might make sense but there will be no Flickr account related to this product and two sets of tabs/menus is too much. I want the page to be minimalistic and light - not like a company presentation page.

I did it cleaner this time more minimalistic.

joedshow,
that's much better :-)

any feedback for my last work?

mzaja,
I like #12 a lot. Just to be clear, the first version of the site will not feature FAQ, Forum or plugins, so I need the design to work without those as well. I think this could be a little difficult here although I could put a detailed description or something in the lower left area I guess.

mazja,
you are very productive! #13 has a lot of what I was was looking for.

Wow, this is going to be difficult - there are a lot of beautiful designs here!

hugocontreras,
oh, too bad I have to close the project now - that design could have worked really well after a few iterations! I love the chef!

Ok guys, I am going to go with mzaja's design though the decision was hard. There is some really beautiful stuff in here!
Thank you all for participating - I hope you will all be coming back for future projects.

Cheers!
Kristian
